ABS – THE PROXIES ARE IN

Following a late flurry, your Society now holds substantially more proxies than we had previously obtained responses in the opinion poll taken during 2009 and interest in this matter is clearly growing. However, we are in receipt also of proposals and inititiatives from other bodies and it would appear that other meetings shall now be convened before further action is finalised. In the meantime, members should continue to complete and send proxies into the Society or, otherwise, to advise their position in relation to ABS. This is an issue which many agree goes to the fundamental principles of the legal profession and every practising solicitor is invited to have his or her opinion taken into account as to the way forward. A copy of the proxy form is provided below, for printing, copying to colleagues, completion and return.
